Students in the Painting Trade learn such things as identifying different types of sandblast medium, paints and coatings, taping material, caulking, putty, etc. as well as various methods of surface preparation and paint application, including airless and conventional spray equipment. Students also learn how to use a variety of other equipment associated with the trade. Safety is highly emphasized in the Painting Trade , as well.

Students in the Painting Trade will also spend much of their time on work-based learning projects throughout the Columbia Basin —“hands-on training” is a great way to learn!
